Description

Somatic Integration Therapy™ is based on Somatoemotional Release (SER) and is an advanced therapeutic process developed by Dr. John Upledger that helps the body release the emotional imprints, protective tension patterns, and unresolved experiences that often become embedded in the tissues. These patterns can contribute to chronic pain, anxiety, overwhelm, restricted movement, and a sense of being “stuck” in the body. Using gentle, precise touch and supportive dialogue, the practitioner listens to the body’s inner cues — following subtle shifts in tissue, breath, fluid, and cranial rhythm to identify where emotion, memory, or protective holding is stored. As the body opens and feels safe, these patterns can soften, unwind, and integrate. SER is not talk therapy and not emotion “processing.” It is a somatic release process that allows the body to complete what was interrupted — restoring clarity, ease, and coherence through the entire system. Clients often experience: release of chronic tension or pain emotional ease or spaciousness improved breath and mobility relief from patterns they couldn’t “think” their way out of a deeper sense of presence and self-connection surprising clarity or insights that arise naturally profound calm in the nervous system SER is gentle, respectful, and client-led. Your body determines the pace; the practitioner simply listens and supports what wants to unfold.
